Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Short version: most of this website does not track you: no cookies, no ad pixels, and we count visits with Vercel's cookie-free analytics. The one exception is our F&B offer, where we use Meta's Pixel to measure our ads and we note what visitors tap on the offer. We only receive your personal data if you choose to message or email us, give us your details on our F&B offer, or type into our chat assistant, Starly.
Who we are
MOONFEST PTE. LTD., UEN 202557362N, a company registered in Singapore. We design websites for clients in Singapore and overseas.
Data Protection Officer: Ezra, ezra@moonfeststudio.com. Email us about anything on this page.
What this site collects
Almost nothing stored by a system of our own. moonfeststudio.com has no database and no login. The one form that saves your details is our F&B offer (see below). A question you type into Starly, our chat assistant, reaches a server we run, and we don't keep it.
Server logs. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs: your IP address, your browser and device type, and the pages you request, to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to profile you.
No cookies, no tracking, outside the F&B offer. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and a few button taps without cookies and without identifying you. Our fonts and videos are served from our own site. The F&B offer is the one place with an advertising pixel (see below).
A few small things saved on your device. Switch the currency on our pricing tool and your browser remembers it as mf-cur; flip the light switch and it remembers light or dark as mf-mode. The F&B offer adds a few more (below). They stay on your device, never reach us on their own, and clearing this site's browser data removes them.
One outside script. The smooth scrolling on our home page comes from Lenis, loaded from jsDelivr, a public code delivery network. Like any website your browser asks for something, it sees your IP address. It gets nothing you type.
The F&B offer
Our offer for Singapore food and drink businesses (moonfeststudio.com/fnb) asks whether you run one, shows the plans, and offers to hold your bonus or a slot if you give us your WhatsApp number or email. To catch typos, we ask Cloudflare's public DNS whether the part of your email after the @ can receive mail (only that part is sent, never your name). We save what you give us in a Google Sheet that only we can see, together with your answers to the offer's questions (for example "I need to think about it"), the address of the offer page you were on, and a random lead number, so we can send you the offer and follow up.
We use them only for that. No marketing list without asking. Your browser also remembers that you answered, whether you said you run an F&B business, and any hold on your bonus (mf-fnb-lead, mf-fnb-yes, mf-fnb-hold), so you aren't asked twice. Want your details deleted? Message or email us.
What visitors tap on the offer. To see which parts of the offer work, we note the steps each visitor takes on it (for example: opened it, said yes or no to the F&B question, looked at a plan, went to checkout, closed it), how many seconds in, which of our ads they came from, the site that sent them, and whether it was a phone or a computer. This sits in the same Google Sheet under a random visitor number your browser keeps as mf-fnb-vid. It holds no name, number or email, unless you give us your details, and then it carries your random lead number so the two can be matched.
Meta Pixel. On the F&B offer only, we use Meta's Pixel. It sets a Meta cookie (_fbp) and tells Meta, which runs Facebook and Instagram, when you open the offer, see the plans, give us your details, tap WhatsApp, go to checkout, or land on our welcome page after paying (your browser then remembers that as mf-fnb-paid, so it is only counted once). Meta uses this to measure our ads and to show them to people like those who responded, under its own privacy policy. We do not send Meta your number or email. To stop it, block or clear this site's cookies, use your browser's tracker blocking, or change your ad settings in Facebook or Instagram.
Paying for a plan. Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your card, name, email and phone, and the business details on its checkout page, and shares them with us so we can set up your plan. It also asks whether your logo is yours to use, so we know before we redraw it. Your random lead number travels with the payment, so we can match your payment to your enquiry. We never see your full card number.
The pricing quiz and email buttons
The quiz runs in your browser. Tap "Choose" or "Book a call" and we open WhatsApp with a message already written, holding your answers: industry, features, package, care plan. Our email buttons open your email app with a draft the same way.
Nothing reaches us until you press send yourself. Close the draft and we never see it.
Starly, our chat assistant
Starly answers questions about Moonfest using an AI model from Anthropic. When you send Starly a message, the conversation so far is sent from our site to Anthropic so it can write the reply. Anthropic processes it on its own systems, which may be outside Singapore, under its commercial terms and data policy.
We don't save your chats. Our server passes each message on and keeps no copy; our logs record only that a chat happened and how long the answer was, never what was said. Your browser keeps the conversation for this tab only, so a reload doesn't lose it, and closing the tab clears it.
Please don't type personal or sensitive details into the chat. For a quote, or anything about you, message us on WhatsApp instead. Starly is an AI and can be wrong; we confirm anything important ourselves.
When you contact us
Reach us by email at ezra@moonfeststudio.com, on WhatsApp at +65 8914 2115, or by Instagram DM at @moonfeststudio.
We then receive your name, your email or phone number, whatever you wrote, and your quiz answers if you sent them. We use that only to:
- reply to you and answer your questions
- quote for, plan and carry out work you ask about
- handle partnership enquiries
- consider you for a freelance role you applied for
- add you to the "Design 101" course waitlist, if that is what you emailed about
- keep our own business and accounting records
Consent. By messaging or emailing us, you agree to us using what you send for the reason you sent it. We will not use it for anything else, or add you to a marketing list, without asking first.
Where your data goes
Our email and the F&B offer's sheet run on Google. Payments run on Stripe. We use WhatsApp and Instagram, and advertise on Facebook and Instagram with Meta's Pixel on the F&B offer (all Meta). Starly's replies are written by Anthropic's AI, and the site runs on Vercel. Contact us through any of those and your message sits on their systems, which may be outside Singapore. If you would rather not have it held by them, send us as little as you can.
Singapore law requires us to make sure data we send abroad gets protection comparable to what it has here. We use these services because they publish data protection commitments of their own. We do not sell your data and we do not share it beyond this.
How long we keep it
We keep your messages while we are talking, and after that only as long as we may still need them for the work, our records, or a legal or tax reason. Then we delete them. F&B offer details from people who don't become clients are deleted within 12 months. Want yours deleted sooner? Ask us.
Your choices
- See what we hold. Ask, and we will send you the personal data we hold about you and how we have used it. No charge.
- Correct it. If something we hold about you is wrong or incomplete, tell us and we will fix it.
- Withdraw your consent. Tell us at any time to stop using your data. We will explain what that means, usually that we cannot continue the work, and then we will stop.
Email ezra@moonfeststudio.com for any of these.
If you want to complain
Email Ezra first and we will try to put it right. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission at pdpc.gov.sg. The Commission can investigate, and can direct us both to try mediation.
Changes, and the law that applies
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. This policy and the way we handle your data are governed by Singapore law, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
